Multiplayer help

Greetings!

I am a longtime fan of DBTS who is looking for some help playing the multiplayer. My problem is the following:

While I am able to set up the Hamachi without a problem, I can't seem to start the multiplayer game from within DBTS. In other words, after I set up Hamachi I do:

1) Start DBTS (with or without LfL)
2) Arena
3) Multiplayer game
4) Choose TCP/IP
5) Press 'Enter'
6) After no games are found, I create a new one.
7) Enter game name
I'm back at the arena screen, but now, the option to enter the arena is grayed out, so I can't enter it. Also, nobody can see the game I just created.

Any ideas?

After creating a new game you are in the multiplayer arena screen. Other players can join your game now. However, the servers to manage the list of currently available games is offline. Thus, the only way for them to connect to your game is by entering your IP address directly.

If you are using a network router to connect to the internet you may have to configure it to forward some ports. The required ports are listed in this thread.

I'm currently trying to find a way to get the list of available games working again. It would make life alot easier. [EDIT] Okay, i just realised that there never was a server. Instead it is broadcasting on the local network. This complicates things, but there might sill be a way to get it to work over the internet.

But it IS normal that those options are grayed out? I'm guessing this is a noob question, but I'm trying to troubleshoot the problem. Thanks for the response though - I never suspected people still play this awesome game!

Yes, the options are grayed out until another player joins your game.

Sure people do. DbtS is still the unmatched king of swordfighting games.
