Playing the game with an xbox 360 controller?

So, I just bought the game and it's amazing. However, I'm thinking I would be able to do more "powerful" swings with my xbox controller.
So, if anyone is still alive on these forums, I would like to ask you if you have gotten this to work? I tried something called "xpadder" but I can seriously not figure anything out.
Please help if you know how I could get this to work, if there are some other programs I need to download etc.

I don't have a 360 controller, thus i can't say anything definitive, but there are likely some tools out there that allow you to map stick movements to keyboard or joystick actions. This might work for you.
