Vista!!!
It's unbelievable, but Vista RC1 is able to run DbtS again! It refused to start on XP since i got an AMD processor, but on Vista it's running again! Hallelujah!

I know that your post is way way old but anyway
I run an amd 64 6000+ dualcore rig and dbts works fine for me in XP no matter if i run in compability mode or not. The old move editor however doesnt seem to work at all :/ Which sucks cuz I kinda need it

Yes, the topic is outdated. DbtS doesn't work for me anymore, even on Vista. 
But i got my hopes up for my new PC i'll buy soon. It's interesting that your AMD processor runs the game itself correctly. Another funny fact is, that DbtS without LFL runs fine on my machine, but this is not suitable for modding.

Yeah it's wierd :S Friend of mine runs the same processor as I do and he can run the game without any problems as well
